Technology to help monitor the occupancy inside a property, as well as facial recognition and ways of tracking clients, are among the fastest growing areas of technology at present, a participant in a G2E Asia online panel said.
The number of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibition Events (MICE) held in Q2 in Macau dropped by 89.4 percent to just 38 due to Covid-19 cancellations.
G2E Asia said it was dropping plans to run any shows in Asia this year in favour of focusing on its events in 2021.
G2E Asia said it will continue to work with regulators to ensure products that are illegal in Macau are not on display at the show and says its exhibitors are “committed” to not promoting any online, or mobile, consumer facing products.
