    The first phase of Galaxy Macau officially opened on 15 May 2011, at an investment of HK$16.5 billion. It includes more than 2,200 rooms, suites and villas across three hotels, the Banyan Tree, Japan’s Okura Hotels & Resorts, and the five-star Galaxy Hotel. Facilities include a selection of more than 50 food and beverage outlets, oasis gardens covering 52,000 square meters, and the world’s largest Skytop Wave Pool covering 4,000 square meters and featuring a 350-ton white sand beach.On May 27 2015, Galaxy Macau and Broadway Macau doubled the original size to over 1.1 million square meters in its Phase 2 development, delivering a total investment of over HK$43 billion in a planned HK$100 billion commitment to Macau. It added three new hotels — the Ritz-Carlton, the JW Marriott Macau and the new Broadway Hotel. The number of dining outlets increased to over 120 restaurants, bars and lounges and the retail outlets were expanded with The Promenade, a shopping precinct featuring over 200 shops.Work on Galaxy Phase 3 and Phase 4 is scheduled to begin in 2016 taking the group’s total investment in Macau to HK$100 billion.
