Adelaide Casino wades into glass fight

SkyCity Entertainment Group’s Adelaide Casino attacked a proposal by South Australia to require all drinks ordered after midnight in clubs and pubs to be served in tempered or polycarbonate cups and that all empty glassware be collected from customers. The police are keen for the rule because of the role of glassware in assaults, but David Christian, general manager of the casino, said it “will be ridiculed by mature customers and … international high-end gamblers which Adelaide Casino and South Australia needs to attract”.
