Analysts raise August forecasts


Wall Street analysts have raised their forecasts for August revenue growth on seeing strong early numbers despite typhoon storms that affected Macau. RBC Capital Markets said it now sees revenue growing 18-19 percent after earlier forecasting 14-16 percent. Sterne Agee similarly raised its expectations for growth to a range of 17-20 percent from 16 percent. Fitch Ratings meanwhile raised its forecast for annual growth to 14 percent from 11 percent based on VIP market resilience.
