Bloomberry fills management gap with ex-Marina Bay Sands exec

Bloomberry Resorts Corp. has wasted no time in filling the management gap left by its dismissal of former COO Michael French, announcing on Tuesday that it had appointed former president of Marina Bay Sands Pte Ltd., Thomas Arasi, to the post.

Bloomberry, owner of the Solaire Resort & Casino in Manila Bay, Philipines, last month summarily dismissed its management company, Global Gaming Philippines LLC., citing breach of their management services agreement.  Parent company Global Gaming Asset Management has fought back by initiating arbitration proceedings, claiming that it is Bloomberry who is in breach.  Chairman and president of Bloomberry, Enrique Razon Jr., said that he had no doubt that Arasi’s experience launching the massive Marina Bay Sands project and helping it achieve unprecedented profitability made him the right man for the job to boost Solaire’s operations.
