Football betting boosts HK Jockey Club revenues

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), which opened up to football betting a decade ago, had turnover of HK$50.6 billion (US$6.5 billion) in 2012/2013. That works out at US$1,000 for every one of the region’s adults. Since the HKJC began accepting football bets in 2003/2004, turnover has more than tripled from HK16.1 billion.
