Fung in $2.9 billion Cairns resort plan

Hong Kong businessman Tony Fung visited Cairns for talks on his proposal for a A$3 billion ($2.9 billion) casino resort. The project would include five hotels, villas, an aquarium and a golf course on 283 hectares north of the city in Yorkeys Knob. The site was home to a resort that closed in the 1980s.”Cairns is the jewel, it just needs a little polish,” Fung told the press.
