Goan casinos given 15 days to comply with pollution regulations or face shutdown

The Goa state pollution control board (GSPCB) has given offshore casinos 15 days to address concerns over air and water pollution. The concerns were raised in an inspection report and include violations such as operating diesel engines without the board’s consent. Failure to comply may result in criminal proceedings and the withdrawal of the consent to operate, the report said, citing GSPCB member secretary Levinson Martins.
