Guam machines relicensed

The Guam Department of Revenue and Taxation renewed the licenses of 200 gambling machines owned by Guam Music Inc. The move comes amid a proposal to use taxes from the machines to fund Guam Memorial Hospital and criticism from the island’s attorney general who argues the machines are illegal. The license renewals were issued for $500 each. The attorney general’s office said it may pursue legal action against the tax department and the governor over the renewals.
